Introducing Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy goes beyond traditional approaches—it’s a profound dance between body and soul, a journey of rediscovery and renewal. Led by our dedicated Somatic Therapist, Katie Russell, this therapy honors the whispers of the body and unlocks the wisdom within. Through gentle movement, breathwork, and mindful awareness, women are invited to reconnect with their bodies’ language, listening to the stories etched in their bones, and reclaiming the dormant power within.
Trauma, often stored in the body, can manifest as tension, pain, or illness. Particularly for women, these experiences can deeply impact mental and physical well-being. Recognizing these unique needs, we founded the Women’s Lotus Program as a sanctuary for the soul—a place where women can find refuge amidst life’s storms, lay down their burdens, and rediscover their inner light.
The Benefits of Somatic Therapy
In our program, participants have the opportunity to:
- Embrace Their Wholeness: By reconnecting with their bodies and emotions, women reclaim fragmented pieces of themselves, embracing the fullness of who they are.
- Find Their Voice: Through mindful awareness and exploration, women learn to speak their truth, expressing needs with courage and clarity.
- Cultivate Resilience: Processing and releasing stored trauma and emotions, women cultivate resilience to navigate life’s challenges with grace and strength.
At University Behavioral Health Denton, we understand the sacredness of the healing journey. We are honored to walk alongside women on their path of self-discovery and transformation. Our Lotus Program is more than a program—it’s an invitation to a journey of healing and wholeness. We invite you to join us as we embark together towards a future filled with hope, healing, and possibility. Your healing journey starts here. Contact us today to take the first step towards embracing the fullness of who you are.
