Adolescent Psych PHP/IOP Program (Ages 13-17)

At Branches Denton, we recognize the unique challenges that adolescents face on their journey to mental well-being. Our Adolescent Psych Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offer a structured and comprehensive approach to support the specific needs of adolescents aged 13 to 17.

Program Details

Adolescent Program Times for PHP and IOP

  • This program takes place Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with school hours from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. during the academic year.
  • Our schedule is designed to balance therapeutic engagement with educational commitments.

Multidisciplinary Treatment Team

  • Our dedicated team comprises the Director of OP Services, Psychiatrist, Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Therapist and Registered Nurse.
  • Together, they form a supportive and collaborative unit to address the diverse needs of adolescents in our care.

Structured Programming

  • Daily Group Therapy sessions with a Licensed Therapist
  • Daily Goals/Education Groups to foster personal growth and learning
  • Weekly Recreational Therapy to add an element of fun and creativity to the therapeutic process

Adolescent Therapist: M’Kayla

  • M’Kayla, our adolescent therapist, is an exceptional professional known for her creativity, compassion and dedication.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, she actively contributes to enhancing our programs.

Educational Support

  • All adolescent patients are enrolled in Ki Charter Schools, a Cognia certified institution.
  • Credits earned during our programs transfer seamlessly back to public school upon program completion.

Lunches and Snacks Provided

  • We understand the importance of nutrition, and we provide balanced lunches and snacks during program hours.

Family Component

  • Family sessions are scheduled as needed, offering vital support to loved ones.
  • Our therapists conduct collateral calls to gain perspectives and provide psychoeducation and support.
  • Constant communication with families, primarily through email, ensures a collaborative and informed approach to treatment.

Evidence-Based Programming

  • Our staff is trained in evidence-based programming, incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
  • Patients can expect to acquire coping skills, manage mental health symptoms, receive psychoeducation and develop essential life skills.
